Spring is here in the Eastern Sierra! Our co-owner hiked to the Numbered Lakes above Big Pine Creek, navigating spring snow, altitude, and surprise postholing — all while breaking in his new Danner Crag Rat Evo boots. Plus, the trip ends with legendary Copper Top BBQ!

Spring trail running season is on! Our staffer Scott explored the High Sierra Ultras course near Bishop and found dry trails, low creek crossings, and only minor snow patches. Water sources are plentiful. Now’s the perfect time to hit the Tungsten Hills before the summer heat kicks in!
