Activity During Report: On trail hiking on along the Mt Whitney main trail
Conditions: Current conditions on the 99 Switchbacks on Main Trail, Mt Whitney: they're slowly melting out, and you can currently use both routes. Ask Inyo SAR why they want people to use an ice axe and traction here...
Minimal snow below Outpost Camp makes for a pleasant hike at the lower elevations.
