    Current As Of: 03 May 2026*

    Activity During Report: hiking

    Conditions: 

    Forester Pass is a bit... gnarly at the moment, but every group that passes through is cutting a few more steps into the steep snow, gradually improving the bootpack. Now we just have to hope the incoming weather doesn't obscure all that hard work again. Anyone heading through should still expect significant snow travel, icy morning conditions, and potentially serious consequences for a slip. An early start, traction, an ice axe, and the skills to use them remain strongly recommended until the route sees more melt-out.
