Bear Canisters are required for backpacking in the wilderness areas of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Parks and Yosemite National Park. They are also highly recommended in the Inyo National Forest, especially on Mount Whitney, since there are no suitable trees for hanging food in the High Sierra.
We rent bear cans for just $3 per day.
Our rentals are a selection of Bear Vault BV500, Bear Vault BV425 and Backpackers' Cache Bear Canisters.
The BV500 and Backpackers' Cache models are good for trips that last from 4-7 days (or a weekend for 2-3 people), the BV425 is great for a quick weekend get away.
