The health and safety of our employees, customers, and fellow citizens is our top priority. We believe that working here, and shopping with us are low risk activities, and have implemented the following plan to help make that be true.

Store co-owners Chris Iversen and Todd Vogel are responsible for creating and implementing this plan.

Risk Assessment: Whether it is the common cold, or other disease, or something else all together, there will always be risks associated with public spaces, and it is impossible to reduce these risks to zero. With respect to disease transmission we feel our store is a low-risk environment - the building is over 6,000 square feet, and seldom are there more than six or eight customers in the store (typically fewer), and generally there are three or fewer staff. Areas within the store that concentrate people are a concern, as are high touch surfaces.

Recognizing that, the following procedures will be implemented:

    • No more than six customers will be allowed in the store at one time, until the County has entered Stage 3 of recovery.

    • High touch surfaces will be cleaned every half hour during open hours. Such surfaces include the cash register

counter tops, the bell at the back door, and the door contact points. During warm weather the back door is usual-

ly left open, and therefore is infrequently touched.

    • Until further notice the front door will remain locked and only the back door will be used.

    • A rope barrier with a sign requesting customers to ring the provided bell for service will be located at the back

door. Customers must be invited into the building, they are not to enter without first asking to come in. This will

allow us to keep customer numbers to six or fewer at a time in the building.

    • Customers will be offered the customer bathroom for hand-washing when they enter the store.

    • The customer toilet is not in service at this time, and the bathroom door should remain open.

    • When two staff are working the floor, each one will be assigned a cash register and credit card terminal, and use

only that one during their shift. If for some reason another staff person uses the register and related peripherals,

the touched surfaces will be cleaned at the end of the staff person’s session with the equipment.

    • Medium touch surfaces such as screen monitors and associated peripherals (computer mice and keyboards) will

be cleaned several times a day.

    • It is important to wear a mask at work, and the mask should cover your nose and mouth. After fiddling with your

mask you must wash your hands.

    • All customers must wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose. If they fiddle with their mask please ask them

      to sanitize their hands.

    • Staff and non-related customers will endeavor to maintain physical distancing of 6’ or more. Masks are particu-

larly important when physical distancing cannot be maintained.

    • Employees should wash their hands or use hand sanitizer every half hour. It is acceptable to wear nytrile gloves at

work, but your gloved hands still need to be washed every half hour.

    • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the cash registers and by the back door.

    • Customers will be encouraged to use ‘touch-less’ paying methods.

    • To make physical distancing easier at the cash registers, tape marks will be placed on the floor in that area, indi-

cating what six feet looks like.

    • Customers will be given the option to not enter the store, and instead to have products delivered to them at the back door.

    • Dedicated shopping hours are offered outside of our normal hours, to populations considered to be at higher

      risk.

    • All staff will self monitor for signs and symptoms of Covid-19 infection, and will not come to work if signs are

      found.

    • Signs and symptoms include frequent cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat,

recent loss of taste and/or smell, or someone in their household has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
