We've taken a lot of measures to make the store safe for in-store shopping, and we believe you're much less at risk spending time in our store than you are, say, grocery shopping.

First off, we've taken measures to restrict the number of people in the store at any given time. There's not a hard and fast number, because sometimes a family group will be in, and we count them as one. The point of restricting the number of people in the building at a time is to allow space for people to be physically distanced, and we maintain this at all times. We keep the Main Street entrance locked, to better allow for control of the number of people in the store, so the back door is the only way in and out currently. We have a rope we put up at the back door when we need to restrict the number of people in the building.

Secondly, and per County law, masks are required to be worn properly, over the mouth and nose, while in the building. We don't like being the mask police, but we do enforce this rule, and ask for your understanding and cooperation. People unable or unwilling to wear a mask while in the building can meet us at the back door for personal shopping, but won't be allowed to come in the store.

We also have put plexiglass shielding up around the checkout area, which keeps our staff safe as well as shoppers.

The building is cooled by two industrial evaporative coolers mounted on the roof. With the back door open and the 'swampers' on the building has excellent ventilation, as building air is constantly being replaced.

We now have 8 industrial air purifiers, and when cooler weather arrives we'll have these running during business hours and they will exchange the entire volume of building air every 20 - 30 minutes.

Of course attention is paid to keeping high touch surfaces clean, and we make sure to regularly wipe these down with sanitizing solution. Speaking of high touch surfaces, we accept all the usual forms of touchless payment including those fancy new credit cards, and phone paying methods.

We are adding online shopping, and hope to have our e commerce site up by mid November. Currently online shopping is available at our locally store, eastside.locally.com. Meanwhile, we are willing to schedule personal shopping before and after our main business open hours, just give us a call at 760-873-7520 to make an arrangement.
